Baby Care Offers on Talabat: Count the Price Per Nappy, Not Per Pack

The percentage on the shelf tells you nothing on its own. A larger pack can carry a smaller percentage and still be cheaper, and the reverse is just as true. Dividing by the number of pieces settles it in seconds.

Nappies: the price of one

• Size 4, pack of 92: from 8.740 to 4.640 dinars. About fifty fils each.
• Size 6, pack of 80: from 7.990 to 6.850 dinars. About eighty-six fils each.
• Size 7, pack of 40: from 6.790 to 5.080 dinars. About a hundred and twenty-seven fils each.

The bigger size costs more per piece in every case, and that is well known. What is less obvious is that the discount does not change the order: size 4 at 47 per cent off stays cheaper per nappy than size 6 at 14 per cent off — by more than double.

Wet wipes: the pack with more in it

• 12 × 60 wipes, so 720 wipes: from 18.360 to 11.500 dinars. About sixteen fils a wipe.
• 16 × 28 wipes, so 448 wipes: from 12.990 to 9.990 dinars. About twenty-two fils a wipe.

The first is 37 per cent off and the second 23, and the first is also cheaper per wipe. Here the percentage and the arithmetic agree — which does not always happen.

Other items on the page

• Baby water, 20 × 330ml: from 2.600 to 2.420 dinars.
• Cleansing wipes, 48 per pack, three packs and one free: from 4.320 to 3.240 dinars.
• Vanilla supplementary formula for ages three to ten, 2 × 900g: from 19.200 to 15.990 dinars.
• A professional bottle washer: from 134.990 to 105.890 dinars, the dearest item on the list.

Before you order

The page publishes no end date for the offers, and the prices depend on the item being in stock. The practical rule is one line: divide the price by the count printed on the pack before comparing two percentages.
