1961 — The national flag law

The amir of Kuwait, Sheikh Abdullah Al Salem Al Sabah, issued a law on Kuwait’s national flag, to be raised over all departments and institutions.

1964 — Joining an Arab organisation

Kuwait joined the Arab Organization for Administrative Sciences, one of the specialised organisations arising from the Arab League.

1990 — Signing the convention on the rights of the child

Kuwait signed the Convention on the Rights of the Child, adopted by the United Nations in November 1989.

2011 — Talal Al Rashidi first among juniors

The shooter Talal Al Rashidi took first place in the junior trap event at the world clay target championship in the Serbian capital, Belgrade.

2017 — Customs cooperation with Washington

Kuwait signed an agreement with the United States on joint customs cooperation, and a memorandum of understanding on technical cooperation between the two countries.

2019 — The death of Mishari Al Osaimi

The former MP Mishari Al Osaimi died at the age of seventy. He had been elected to the National Assembly in the 1992, 1996 and 1999 terms.
