An Interior Ministry decision has set the fee for converting a visit entry visa into a regular residency permit at KD 150. It is Decision No. 1091 of 2026, amending Article 39 of the executive regulations of the Foreigners Residence Law, and it took effect on publication in the official gazette at the start of August.
What the fee is
KD 150 for the service of converting a visit visa into a residency permit, the service set out in Article 16 of the executive regulations.
Who is exempt
Domestic workers and categories treated as such are excluded, under Article 20 of the executive regulations.
