Kuwait University has published the online registration dates for its academic aptitude test — what the university calls the National Unified Test, first sitting — for pupils in grade 12 and its equivalents, and for secondary-school graduates.
When the test is sat
Three Saturdays: 7 November, 21 November and 5 December.
Registration opens in three stages
The system does not open to everyone at once:
- 6 October, 10am: Kuwaiti students who have never registered for the aptitude test before.
- 8 October, 9am: all Kuwaiti students.
- 12 October, 9am: everyone, Kuwaiti and non-Kuwaiti.
So the first two days are held for first-timers. Anyone who has sat it before waits until the 8th; non-Kuwaiti candidates wait until the 12th.
What registering actually involves
Three steps: enter the student’s details, pay a fee of 10 dinars per test by K-Net debit card, then print the admission card. That card is not a formality — it is what tells the candidate where the test is being held, so the venue is not known until it is printed.
Anyone whose personal details are not already in the system follows the instructions for creating a new user before going further. Registering, and any change to a registration, happens through the online system alone — not in person and not by phone.
Two things worth knowing before paying
First, the university states that sitting the aptitude test does not mean a place will be offered. The test is a step on the path, not a decision on admission.
Second, fees are not refunded once collected. Booking a date you then miss costs 10 dinars you do not get back, which is an argument for settling on a date before paying rather than after.
