If the delivery driver rings you on every order to ask where the house is, the Public Authority for Civil Information has an official fix: Kuwait Finder, a free app on the App Store and Google Play. It runs on PACI’s own address data, and Kuwait’s official government portal says it supports delivery and emergency services and is widely accepted by businesses and government bodies.
Step by step
- Get the right app. It is called Kuwait Finder, and the developer listed under it is “Public Authority For Civil Information (PACI – Kuwait)”.
- Sign in with a phone number or email, with an Apple or Google account, or carry on as a guest.
- Look up your address from where you stand. At home, query your current address from your current location and the app shows it.
- Save it. Store home and work as favourite places so they are one tap away.
- Share it as a QR code or a link through your messaging apps.
Finding someone else’s address
- By the PACI address number, if you have it.
- Step by step: governorate, area, block, street number or name, then house or plot number.
- By name: a hospital, a mall or a shop.
- By quick category: the nearest petrol station, hospital or restaurant.
Useful on the road
- Maps work offline.
- Save where you parked and find your way back.
- Several routes that avoid traffic, with spoken directions while you drive.
- A 360-degree street view of any location.
The app is about 377 MB on the App Store, so download it over Wi-Fi.
