New Sabah Al-Nasser bridge ramps open: three movements around the Sixth Ring Road
A service lane towards Al-Messila and two loops tied to 604 came into use at 4am on Thursday.

Three more pieces of the Sabah Al-Nasser bridge project opened to traffic at 4am today, Thursday 15 October. The Ministry of Public Works opened them together with the General Traffic Department.
What is now open
- The service road running alongside the Sixth Ring Road towards Al-Messila.
- The south-west loop: drivers coming off Road 604 from the Kabd direction can now join the Sixth Ring Road towards Al-Messila.
- The south-east loop: drivers on the Sixth Ring Road heading for Al-Messila can now turn onto Road 604 towards the Sabah Al-Nasser area.
This follows the first two movements towards Road 604, which opened in August (our report on that phase).
If you drive this way
Public Works Minister Dr Noura Al-Mashaan asked drivers to follow the direction signs while the new lanes bed in, and to check the General Traffic Department for any temporary diversions or closures around the site. Diversions near a fresh opening often change in the first days, so it is worth trying the new route once outside rush hour.
Today’s statement gave no date for the bridge’s remaining movements.
