The Sheikh Ahmad Al-Jaber Oil and Gas Exhibition sits in Ahmadi, block 212, and belongs to Kuwait Oil Company. It is named for Sheikh Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Kuwait’s tenth ruler from 1921 to 1950, in whose reign the oil industry began. It opened on 17 October 2016, replacing KOC’s older Display Center.
Before you plan
The exhibition opens Sunday to Thursday, 08:00 to 16:00. That means it is closed on Friday and Saturday. This is a visit to plan for a weekday, not for the weekend.
The visit
- Tours run every thirty minutes, in Arabic or English as the guest prefers.
- All tours are free of charge.
- Book in advance through the e-mail verification form on the exhibition’s site.
- The route runs through nine galleries, from The Entrance Experience to Your Future.
- It takes an hour and a half to two hours, on foot and indoors.
- The site is wheelchair accessible, car and bus parking is complimentary, and there is a gift shop.

What has not been published
There is no visitor figure — the company magazine speaks of unprecedented traffic without a number. We could not reach the booking calendar itself, which sits behind an e-mail verification step, so slot availability and any group-size limit are unknown.
