The Avenues has opened its back to school fair in the Grand Plaza, running until 5 September. It is open daily from 10 in the morning to 10 at night, and gathers stationery, clothing, shoes and bags in one place according to the mall’s announcement.
Confirmed from two sides
The announcement comes from the mall’s own account, and the same dates are listed on the events page of Kuwait’s official tourism site with identical timing and location. Neither mentions an entry fee or a list of exhibitors.
How many days there actually are
The school dates are known and adopted: grade one starts on Sunday 13 September, all other stages on Monday 14 September, kindergarten on Wednesday 16 September, and staff before all of them on 6 September. So a family has roughly two and a half weeks from the fair opening to the first day of school.
One detail that confuses people: the calendar page on the Ministry of Education site still shows last year’s calendar, and the last date published on it when checked on 25 August was 23 July 2026. The adopted calendar for the coming year is published elsewhere, not on that page.
Before buying the uniform
There is a rule many people do not know: a school may not oblige a pupil to buy the uniform from a particular seller, supplier or shop, nor impose its pieces as a single bundle.
