Unpainted kerb? You still can’t park there, Traffic says
An awareness official warns of clamps and impounds, and points owners to delegation through Sahel.

A kerb with no paint on it is not a parking spot. That was the message from Lt Col Abdullah Bouhassan, assistant director of the Traffic Awareness Department, as the General Traffic Department steps up its campaigns against parking in banned places and up on pavements.
What can happen to your car
Bouhassan said the violation can go as far as the car being impounded or clamped. Parking is allowed only in designated spaces, whatever the kerb looks like.
He linked random parking and mounting pavements to blocked traffic, jams and accidents, and named roadworks and cars cutting across at junctions as other causes of congestion.
If someone else drives your car
Owners can authorise another person to drive their vehicle through the Sahel app and set how long the authorisation lasts. Any violation that driver commits during that period is recorded against them, not the owner.
He also asked parents to brief their children, and households their employed drivers, on the rules of the road.
