KidZania at The Avenues: a city where children work for a wage

Ages 4 to 14 pay KD 12.9, adults KD 7.9, and under-fives get a corner of their own.

قاعة محكمة مصغرة في مدينة للاطفال

On the first floor of The Mall at The Avenues in Al Rai sits a child-sized city. Children walk in, take on jobs, and get paid in the city’s own currency, kidZos, which they spend inside. KidZania is a global brand with 28 locations; the Kuwait branch is run by Alshaya.

Tickets, as listed on the branch website

  • Under 2: free
  • Ages 2 to 3: KD 8.9
  • Ages 4 to 14: KD 12.9
  • Adults: KD 7.9

Opening hours

  • Friday: 10am to 10pm
  • Saturday: 10am to 9pm
  • Sunday to Wednesday: 9am to 9pm
  • Thursday: 9am to 10pm

Alshaya’s own branch page lists the same hours.

A passport for KD 2

Regular visitors can join the B·KidZanian programme for KD 2. The child has a photo taken at the PaZZport Office inside the city and gets a passport that is stamped for each activity they take part in. More stamps move them up three levels, with better wages in kidZos and discounts at the city’s store. A parent or guardian must be present at enrolment.

For under-fives

A section called The Neighborhood is set aside for children from birth to age 4, with a small science lab, an interactive wall and a baby gym. Parents must stay with their children there.
