Lanes close on King Fahd Road for 15 days, and a Jabriya street until Sunday dawn
Second and Third Ring exits, both Nuzha ramps and diversions near Khaitan are part of the same asphalt overhaul.

Kuwait’s Ministry of Public Works, working with the General Traffic Department, has announced a set of road closures for deep asphalt maintenance. The longest runs for 15 days on King Fahd Road (Road 40).
King Fahd Road (40) and Nuzha
From the night of Friday 16 October 2026, for 15 days:
- The slow lane, the middle-slow lane and the right-hand hard shoulder on King Fahd Road are closed.
- The exit from the Second Ring Road onto King Fahd Road is closed.
- The on-ramp from the Third Ring Road heading south is closed.
- The entrance to and exit from Nuzha are closed.
Abdullah Dashti Street, Jabriya
Closed between the Ibrahim Al-Hajri roundabout and the Street 110 roundabout since midnight on Thursday 15 October. It reopens at 5am on Sunday 18 October.
Towards the airport
The works also close the slow and middle lanes from the Ibrahim Al-Muzayen Street junction to the Sixth Ring Road junction in the airport direction, along with the Abu Dhabi Street exit, the Khaitan Club exit and the expressway on-ramp at 6.5. The published statement did not give a start date or duration for this section.
Before you set out
The ministry asks drivers to follow the diversions, the signs and traffic officers’ instructions, and to use alternative routes. If your daily drive takes the Second or Third Ring Road south, pick your detour before you reach the closed ramp.
