The Ministry of Commerce and Industry publishes product recalls on its website, but it publishes them as images rather than text — so no search turns them up and they never reach the person who bought the thing. These are the four most recent recalls on record, with the fault, the action and a number to call.
Printed glass cups: lead and cadmium
The most serious on the list. The ministry says the printing on these products contains proportions of lead and cadmium.
The recalled product numbers: 3057450, 3060031, 3052986, 3062993, 3055350, 3053912.
The action is three lines: withdraw the product from the market, stop using it immediately, and contact the company to return it and recover the purchase price. The company is Alda Trading, phone 22201924. Recall dated 5 May 2026.
A kettle whose handle comes off
The products: Zwilling Enfinigy Pro and Zwilling Enfinigy, 1.5 litres each.
The defect as the company itself describes it: the kettle handle may lift or detach entirely during use, and in isolated cases this can spill hot water, which carries a risk of injury.
The action: the company has issued a recall and is offering financial compensation for the kettle being unusable. Contact Four Homes Wholesale and Retail on 22253451. Recall dated 1 June 2026.
Two power banks and a fire risk
The products: MagWallet Card 5k, numbers PCI2300118 and PCI2300209, and MagPac Grip 5K, numbers SI-2300319 and PCI2300302. The period covered is May to December 2023, so anyone who bought before or after that falls outside the recall.
The fault: a possibility of overheating that may increase the risk of fire. The action: replacement or refund from B2B Services General Trading, on 97881152 or info@kuwaitb2bservices.com. Recall dated 2 June 2026.
A wooden musical toy for children
Product number 3033045, and the fault is a possibility that the screws holding the metal bars come loose. The announced action is withdrawal from the market only; the notice mentions no refund. Contact Alda Trading, Flying Tiger Copenhagen, on 22201967 or 22201924. Recall dated 28 July 2026.
What to do with this list
Open the kitchen cupboard, the toy drawer and the travel bag. Three of the four are things that stay in houses for years: cups do not break, a kettle is not replaced unless it fails, and a power bank is forgotten in a bag. And the recall does not find its owner on its own.
If you do find one, the action written on the notice is your reference: some offer a refund, some go no further than withdrawal from the market. Call the company named, not the shop.
The legal basis, as the ministry states on every notice: articles 42, 43, 44, 45, 46, 47 and 148 of ministerial decision 27 of 2015 on the technical rule, and law 39 of 2014 on consumer protection.
