Lost your passport in Kuwait? Residents can now get a loss certificate through the Sahel app
The Interior Ministry added the service to the security menu on 22 October; fees and next steps were not announced.

Kuwait’s Ministry of Interior launched an online service on Thursday 22 October 2026 that lets residents report a lost passport through Sahel, the government’s unified services app, and receive an official certificate confirming the loss.
Where to find it
The service sits in the security services menu of the app. You file the report there, and the app issues a loss certificate that you then present to the relevant authorities, according to the ministry’s statement.
What the statement leaves out
The ministry did not mention a fee, and it did not say which authorities the certificate goes to. A replacement passport itself is issued by the embassy of the country that issued yours, not by the ministry.
A lost Kuwaiti passport follows a different route and now costs KD 100 to replace; we covered it in an earlier post.
