1976 — The social insurance law

The amir of Kuwait, Sheikh Sabah Al Salem Al Sabah, issued an amiri order enacting the social insurance law.

2007 — “Al Nahar” puts out its first issue

The first issue of the newspaper Al Nahar appeared, a general political daily.

2019 — The first unit in the clean fuels project

The Kuwait National Petroleum Company announced the commissioning of the first production unit in the clean fuels project, the diesel unit known by the code (U-216), at Mina Abdullah refinery.

2023 — A Kuwaiti presidency for Asian shooting

The general assembly of the Asian Shooting Confederation endorsed Kuwait’s candidate, Sheikh Salman Sabah Al Salem Al Humoud Al Sabah, as president of the continental federation for the next four years, keeping his post.

The meeting was held in Kuwait, with representatives of 41 national federations attending.
