The Ministry of Commerce and Industry publishes its list of ration goods and their prices for 2026: 116 items across two tiers, subsidised and reduced. The file sits on the ministry’s own site and carries the date 28 June 2026.
Subsidised
- Rice: 120 fils a kilo.
- Sugar: 90 fils. Lentils: 270 fils.
- Vegetable oil: KD 1.050 a tin, and milk powder the same.
- Tomato paste: 270 fils a pack. Cerelac: 405 fils.
Whole frozen chicken, by brand
630 fils a kilo for Al-Muttahida, Nayef, Wara, Afia, Bu Ali, Al-Asriya and Al-Wataniya; 610 for Al-Safa, Al-Washm, Al-Youm, Sadia and their like; 600 for Doux, Frangosul, Zeina and Nat; 585 for Halal; and 555 for Al-Tahouna, Seara and Americana.
Reduced
- Peeled frozen shrimp: KD 1.750 a kilo.
- Frozen zubaidi: KD 4.985.
- Frozen minced beef: 480 fils. Sadia chicken breast: KD 1.345.
- KDCOW milk: 300 fils a litre, 85 fils a quarter-litre.
