Kuwait’s Ministry of Health has opened a Travellers’ Health Clinic at the Salwa Specialist Centre in the Hawalli Health Region, according to a ministry statement carried by KUNA on 5 October 2026. The clinic is open to citizens and residents alike.
What the clinic does
- A health assessment and consultation before you travel, based on your destination, how long you will be away, the kind of trip and your own health
- A check of which vaccinations are required, and which are recommended, for where you are going
- Advice on avoiding mosquito-borne and other vector-borne diseases, food- and water-borne illness, and respiratory infections
Dr Maryam Mansouri, head of public health services in the Hawalli region, said travel medicine is not only about vaccines: every traveller and every trip gets its own risk assessment.
When to go
The ministry advises starting your health preparation well before you fly, since some vaccines need time before they protect you. Salwa is one of nine travel health clinics the ministry runs across the governorates.
The statement did not give the clinic’s opening hours or how to book.
