The Public Institution for Social Security runs a programme called Thakher — a list of discounts for retirees at bodies the institution has contracted with. It is not a small list: the offers for Kuwaitis in Kuwait alone cover thirty-five providers across five pages.
The programme has three separate lists: for Kuwaitis in Kuwait, for GCC nationals in Kuwait, and for Kuwaitis in the Gulf states.
The headline entries
Kuwait Airways gives the retiree twenty per cent and their companion fifteen per cent, on business and economy class. Its conditions are written out plainly:
The selling window runs from 9 August 2026 and closes on 15 September 2026. The travel window runs from 9 August 2026 to 20 February 2027. So the buying window is short and the travelling window is long.
The retiree and companion must be on the same booking and the same flight. Booking is through the airline’s sales offices or the customer service centre on 171 — not through the website.
Al Seidawi Food Industries: twenty per cent off all products, enquiries by WhatsApp on 94947686.
Boubyan Takaful Insurance: twenty-five per cent off domestic worker insurance.
The list also holds hospitals, laboratories, two dental clinics, a sports club, and food and manufacturing companies.

Showing retiree ID. With Kuwait Airways specifically, that is done through the Hawiyti app.
And what the page is missing
The Kuwait Airways offer is the only one carrying a start and end date. Every other offer on the page has no date at all, neither start nor expiry. So if you go to one of these providers, ask whether the offer is still running before you count on it.
