The Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Cultural Centre is opening a new term of music school classes, running from 26 August to 19 September, two days a week: Saturdays and Wednesdays.
Who can register
The school is open to anyone aged fourteen and above. The centre has announced no upper age limit.
What is taught
Individual and group classes, supervised by academics specialising in Eastern and Western instruments, along with Arabic singing, voice training, and operatic and international singing.
Three new teachers
- Amani Al-Hajji: a Kuwaiti opera singer and voice coach, teaching international singing.
- Abdulrahman Jaafar: violin.
- Waleed Shukri: qanun.
Place and timing
The music building inside the centre on Gulf Road. The time announced on the booking page is Wednesday 26 August at 4 in the afternoon, and a class runs fifty minutes with no break.
Price
The price field on the centre’s page is empty: it has announced neither a registration fee nor that the classes are free. Booking is through the tickets page on the centre’s website.
