The Ministry Asks Negative Types to Donate: Six Centres, Each With Its Own Hours

Kuwait’s Ministry of Health has asked people with negative blood types — and anyone else willing to give — to go to the Central Blood Bank or one of its branches, to help support the blood stock and meet patients’ needs.

Where to donate

The ministry named six locations:

• The Central Blood Bank in Jabriya
• The Cooperatives Blood Transfusion Centre, beside Adan Hospital
• The Sheikha Salwa Al-Sabah Centre, beside the Maternity Hospital
• The donation branch at Jaber Al-Ahmad Hospital
• The donation branch at the New Jahra Hospital
• The donation branch at the Hamad Al-Humaidhi and Sheikha Al-Sudairawi Medical Centre, in Shuwaikh Residential

Each centre keeps its own working hours, and the ministry points donors to the published hours for the location they intend to visit.

Citizens and residents alike

The appeal is addressed to both citizens and residents who are eligible to donate, under the slogan “your blood donation is a gift that renews life”. The ministry describes donating as a direct contribution to saving lives and supporting what patients need.
