Rain prayer on Saturday 31 October at 125 mosques across Kuwait

Kuwait’s Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs has called for Salat al-Istisqa, the prayer asking God for rain, to be held on the morning of Saturday 31 October 2026 at 10:30am in 125 mosques spread across all of the country’s governorates.

The ministry’s acting undersecretary, Dr Sulaiman Al-Suwailem, sent an administrative circular to the imams and preachers of the selected mosques. The ministry said the mosques were spread across residential areas so that citizens and residents alike would have one close to home.

Which mosque?

As of this morning the names of the 125 mosques had not been published. The ministry said it will announce them governorate by governorate so worshippers can find the nearest one.
