Jahra Road roadworks near Saad Al-Abdullah due to finish on 3 November
A two-kilometre stretch heading into Kuwait City is being relaid with polymer-modified asphalt. Plan extra time until the crews wrap up.

The Ministry of Public Works is resurfacing Jahra Road in the Kuwait City-bound direction, on the stretch opposite Saad Al-Abdullah City, between chainage 22+350 and 24+220 — roughly two kilometres.
This phase lays a Type II asphalt course made with polymer-modified bitumen, which is meant to stand up better to heavy loads. According to the approved timetable, all work on this phase is due to be finished by Tuesday, 3 November 2026.
If you drive this way
Anyone commuting from Jahra towards the capital passes this stretch, so it is worth allowing extra time until 3 November and keeping to the work-zone speed limits. The report did not mention a full closure of the road.
The timetable was given during a site visit by Eng. Khaled Al-Osaimi, director general of the ministry’s roads engineering department, to the maintenance contract covering Abdali Road and Jahra Road.
