A solo piano evening at Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Cultural Centre on Saturday 3 October 2026, 8:00pm, in the Recital Hall. The pianist is Dr Kholoud Abdulsalam, who holds a doctorate in the instrument.
The programme
The whole recital sits in the Romantic era, running from the nineteenth century into the early twentieth, through works by Brahms, Schubert, Mendelssohn, Glinka and Debussy.
That list is worth a second look. Brahms, Schubert and Mendelssohn come from the centre of the German tradition; Glinka stands at the root of the Russian school; Debussy is the French edge that broke with both. An hour of music that crosses Europe rather than settling on one composer.

- Tickets: from KD 4.
- Age: 14 and over — a condition of entry, not a suggestion.
- Dress: smart casual, required to enter the hall.
House rules
No food or drink inside the hall, and no professional cameras during the performance. Tickets are non-refundable and non-exchangeable unless the performance is cancelled or postponed, and tickets bought from unauthorised sellers will not be honoured. Anyone who leaves the building mid-performance may not be readmitted, for security reasons.
