Winter Vaccination Has Started: Ninety Centres, Six Priority Groups

The seasonal campaign opened on 2 September at health centres and hospitals.

The Ministry of Health opened its seasonal winter vaccination campaign on 2 September. It covers seasonal influenza plus the recommended vaccines against pneumonia, and runs at ninety health centres and hospitals across all health regions. The Health Minister, Dr Ahmad Al-Awadi, launched it.

Who is prioritised

  • The elderly.
  • Children.
  • People with chronic conditions.
  • Pregnant women.
  • The immunocompromised.
  • Healthcare workers.

What has not been announced

The ministry has published no list of the ninety centres, has not said whether there is a fee, has announced no booking method and has given no end date. Ask your own health centre before you go.
